What do you have to do?
You have a choice of two questions a is a stimulus photograph which you then use to create a descriptive piece about, then b is a stimulus title which you use to create a story opening.
General tips and hints:
The story should start to have a clear overall structure: introduction, rising action, climax, falling action and ending. (Think Freytag's narrative structure).
You should write using a variety of sentence structures and ensure that you use these for effect. (Simple, compound and complex).
Create interesting imagery and description but don't overdo it.
Ensure the vocabulary you use is interesting and engaging.
Remember TIPTOP for your paragraphs. (Time, Place, Topic and Person: which means new speaker = new line)
